June 2015 “Beautiful very spacious and comfortable” 5 of 5 stars. Just had 5 days in luxurious appartnent everything you could expect and more,in lovely place we will Definetly be booking again soon.

June 17, 2014 “Great place to stay :)” Stayed here with 2 friends in total there was 7 of us - loads of room very spacious. Very clean ideal location. The only two faults were there wasn't any orange bags so the rubbish was abit of a problem and the shower cubicle didn't drain quick enough for the length of the shower. Other then these two minor things great stay :).

20 Jun 2013 - "Family break for fathers day". We had a four night stay as a family get together for fathers day, myself, husband, son, daughter, their partners and our two grandchildren, not forgetting our dog!, Flat was very spacious, clean and well set out. Although it states one bathroom in the details, it also has a separate shower room and two toilets. Two of the bedrooms are up a small flight of stairs, not a problem for adults or older children, but not suitable for our two year old grandaughter. Location is perfect, with shops just around the corner and the sea opposite.

23rd May 2013 - "Lovely location". There were only two of us for most of the week although my daughter and partner joined for the last two days.
We were very fortunate with the weather and it was great being able to just cross the road and sit in the Gardens enjoying a magnificant viiew accross the bay. Although the little town shopping centre is just around the corner, it is quiet and peaceful, although it got more busy over bank holiday.
Having a shower room, bathroom and two toilets is really convenient. The kitchen is bright and modern with a large fridge. The accomodation is really spacious and full of character. Lots of little extras were appreciated, games, books, local guides and information.
It was a real help having a dog crate provided for our pet. Maybe that should be advertised.
Parking is on the road, we were able to find a space just road the corner and later moved straight outside. Because every thing is so local we were glad to not use the car except for a trip to Tesco. We will certainly be back later in the year.

17th May 2013 - "It is like a tardis in a great location". We stayed for a weekend and had a great time. The appartment is like a tardis, it looks tiny from the outside but has a lovely large lounge, 4 bedrooms, 2 toilets and bathrooms, nice kitchen and plenty of space. We had a slight problem with the hot water but did not let it spoil our stay. The location is fabulous, 1 minute walk into town and on the crescent you have great views out to sea. We sat outside on the small patio each morning with our tea and watched the world and their dogs walk by. It is a peaceful location but 5 minutes from the beach. Loved it and would definitely go back.

16th April 2013 - "Fantastic apartment in a great location". We stayed at Seawards over the Easter weekend, our party was made up of 4 adults and 3 children under 8 yrs old. The property is modern, spacious, clean, comfy and provided everything you might require during your stay.
There are two bedrooms at the back of the property can be closed off from the main living area giving privacy and quiet if required. There is also a private walled courtyard providing a safe outdoor area for children or BBQ'ing!
The location of Seawards is fab, overlooking the sea and the gardens. A short walk and your on the beach or at the shops.
We all really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be booking again!

23/09/2012 - Had a lovely break. Weather was very good & the flat is very comfortable. Hope that we will be back, but will recommend you.

09/09/2012 - Last minute weekend break, but the weather was amazing as is Seawards, so comfortable & cosy & and the bed is really lovely. We will recommend you & will be back!

07/06/2012 - Seawards is a great property for a family break, really close to Filey town centre and 5 mins down to the beach. It was surprisingly spacious and light for a basement flat - high ceilings and brand new decoration and fittings. The layout was a bit unusual and quirky, with 2 bedrooms at the front and 2 at the rear, upstairs, connected along a corridor. Our older 2 girls (10 and 8) liked having the back bedrooms as their hideaway!

29/04/2012 - We booked to stay for long weekend as a last minute booking. Booking via Simplicity Holidays was easy and despite rainy weather we enjoyed our stay. The beach is a 2minute walk, although the weather meant it was hard to tell the sea from the rain! Still the property is great to come back to, we only went out one evening as it was good to cosy in. Parking out front is limited but we were lucky and got a spot just down the same block. We will be back to try our luck for better weather!

Customer reviews

We've stayed at a few places on The Bay Filey, but nothing comes close to Puffin Lodge. This is holiday accommodation of the very highest order. It is superbly furnished, immaculately decorated and pristinely clean. It even had a small illumintated Xmas tree and Xmas decorations to make it feel very festive over the holiday period while we were there. A big plus over other places we have stayed is that both bedrooms have their own bathrooms; a wet room en-suite in the master bedroom, and a shower cubilcle/wash basin/toliet in the 2nd bedroom. Here, as throughout, the furnishings are to a very high spec. It was lovely to come back to a warm, cosy lodge at the end of a day out, the lodge has HIVE-controlled heating, and was lovely and warm even when it was bitterly cold outside. There is car parking outside the lodge, and a lovely decking area with a table and chairs, a bit too cold to use while we were there, but a great place to chill out on a nice day. We will definitely book again, and will recommend it to friends and family - it is simply the pinnacle of holiday accommodation.
